What Makes Our School Unique?
Andrew Jackson Elementary celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2004. Our staff takes pride in knowing that all students are provided a quality education and that the school's motto: "High Expectations for All Students" applies to all students. We have a highly committed staff as well as an involved community and P.T.O. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, we continue to improve our instructional program. With the help of our highly qualified Reading Specialist, School Counselor, Consulting Teacher, ELL Classes, Encore, Resource Class, Art, Music and Physical Education programs we provide an opportunity for each child to receive an array of services so their educational needs are met. |

Who Attends Our School?
Students attending Andrew Jackson Elementary reside in Old Hickory and are zoned to DuPont Hadley Middle School and McGavock High School. The elementary schools in the McGavock cluster are: Andrew Jackson, Dodson, DuPont, Hermitage, Hickman, McGavock, Napier Enhanced Option, Pennington, Ruby Major, Stanford Montessori, Tulip Grove and Una. Middle schools in this cluster are: Donelson, DuPont Hadley, DuPont Tyler, Margaret Allen and Two Rivers. |

PENCIL Partners
PENCIL Foundation, a nonprofit organization, links community resources with Nashville public schools. A PENCIL Partner is a business or other community organization that teams up with a Metro school to volunteer time and donate resources that promote student success.
